Meet the Krakow masterminds behind Sabre Red Workspace

Have you ever wondered exactly who the technologists are behind the new Sabre Red Workspace?

Well, we’d like to introduce you to them – all 40 of our talented engineers all the way from our Sabre Travel Network office in Krakow. This group of technologists is responsible for the original technology design behind Sabre Red, and the team today continues to churn out additonal features and capabilities to make your new Sabre Red Workspace even better equipped to help you drive customer loyalty and power business performance.

For over two years, this talented group has been hard at work on your new total travel solution, from inception to delivery of the first version of Sabre Red.

The team celebrated the launch of the workspace with an evening cruise and dinner on the river Wisła in the center of Krakow.

Program manager Corey Ladd thanked everyone for their dedication and efforts that have helped us achieve an extremely successful product launch.

Sabre Red celebrates first month of upgrade success

The big celebration for the numerous Sabre Red customer success stories that have already flooded in just after a month since the official launch was in full swing this week at the Texas-based home of Sabre Travel Network, where your new Sabre Red travel solution was born.

Our Sabre Red team took just a few moments out of a busy day managing upgrades and providing customer support to raise a red champagne-filled glass to toast the initial success of the global Sabre Red launch that began on June 15, 2010.

The team’s new Senior Vice President of Marketing, Chris Kroeger, spoke to the Sabre Red team (pictured below) and shared many stories of excitement from agencies who are already delivering great value and service to their customers while driving more revenue and efficiency thanks to Sabre Red.

The rave reviews have kept our cheeks blushing bright hues of crimson, to be sure. Meeting our customers’ needs simply makes us all smile from ear-to-ear, just as this comment from a reservations and ticketing manager at one of our Bahrain-based agencies also did.

“If I were to describe Sabre Red in one word it would be ‘efficient.’ It’s efficient in design, efficient in usability and an extremely efficient customer service tool,” said Ajay Mathew from Algosaibi Travel.

“The new solution helped me increase the number of customers I can now service in a day and is tremendously adept in displaying the most competitive fare, thus helping me make money and save money at the same time.”

We sure wish you could have been there to celebrate with us this week, but we are keeping the Sabre Red trail hot around the globe and will likely be visiting each of you, our customers, in person to reintroduce you to the Sabre you know and love along with the new Sabre Red we know you’ll love.

And if you aren’t a current Sabre customer, ask us for a demo simply by commenting below! We’d love the opportunity to walk you through the new Red Workspace at any time.

You can never have too much sparkling Red cider or too many crimson-colored cookies. So, check back soon for more pics of your Sabre Red team painting headquarters Red with joy this week from the good news our customers continue to share.

Twitter system issues impacting @sabreinspired account

Update 6.16 – 8:36 a.m. CDT: All Twitter system issues related to @sabreinspired seem to have been resolved – hooray!

Over the last 24 hours, Twitter users have been experiencing recurring issues as a result of a Twitter system upgrade gone awry on June 14.

“Fail whales” have been coming out of the woodwork for Twitter users, and as a result, we have had a not-so-smooth transition from our pre-Sabre Red Twitter ID @rediscoming to our new official ID @sabreinspired where all updates will be made moving forward.

The issue is that Tweets coming from @sabreinspired may still “look” like they are coming from @rediscoming, when they are actually from the @sabreinspired account.

We wanted to proactively clear up any confusion resulting from this issue and reaffirm that our official account is still @sabreinspired. If you want to connect with us on all things Sabre Red just like we want to connect with you, @sabreinspired is where the fun will be!

Let us know if you have any questions in the comments section below, and again thanks for your patience while Twitter resolves these system issues.

Sabre Red travel solution official press release sneak peek

Check out a sneak peek below of the first few paragraphs of the official press release, to be made public later today, detailing Sabre Travel Network‘s new total travel solution for Sabre Connected agencies around the globe — Sabre Red.

Vienna, AUSTRIA — Sabre Travel Network, the leading provider of high performance solutions for the travel industry, today announced the global launch of Sabre Red, an innovative total travel solution designed to help travel agencies drive customer loyalty and power business performance, resulting in increased revenues, improved efficiency and reduced costs.

Unveiled at a Sabre-hosted event in Austria on Tuesday, Sabre Red features a range of powerful new capabilities that span the entire spectrum of an agency’s business from shopping and booking travel, to serving customers throughout their trip, to using business intelligence for insight and continuous improvement.

“To succeed in today’s highly competitive market where travel is more complex and travellers face more choices than ever, travel companies face the challenge of balancing resources to deliver great customer service with the need to meet profitability goals,” said Greg Webb, President of Sabre Travel Network.  “Sabre Red helps agencies enjoy the best of both worlds, creating and maintaining high customer loyalty, while also growing revenue and keeping costs in check.”

Using Sabre Red, agencies will be able to respond nimbly to the emergence of airline ancillary fees and other merchandising initiatives, the growth in demand for mobile services, changes in preferred supplier agreements, the challenge of finding agents with GDS format knowledge, and ultimately to meet the needs of more informed and demanding travellers.
